The Mouse and Her House

In the interest of anonymity, I’d rather not tell you too much about the House, but some things must be explained for clarities sake.

So, I am the Mouse, though sometimes I’m also called Mommy. The hubby and I have two little boys, we’ll just call them Button, who is two years old and a ton of trouble, and Punk, who is 4 years old and finally finding his way out of the “terribles”, very slowly. You can read more about them on their individual pages if you like.

Our house can be found somewhere in Houston, Texas, though I am originally from Canada. It isn’t the biggest house, and to be quite honest with you, I hate it. It isn’t the houses fault, really.

I can hear you asking now, why would I go with something like a mouse to represent myself? Well, I can identify with them a lot, though not totally (I can honestly say I’ve never eaten one of my own babies, and I’m not terribly afraid of snakes). I am small and unassuming, and usually feel completely unwelcome in my surroundings. I enjoy nibbling on everything I can get at, most especially cheese, because the hubby is a fantastic cook. I’ve also been told I sound something like a mouse, or a chipmunk on crack, when I’m talking; very high pitched, but usually too quiet to really be heard.

I enjoy a good many things, most especially playing in mountains of shiny, sparkling beads. Making jewelry is my top of the list favorite thing to do, followed closely by various arts and crafts, web design and photo manipulation/touch-up. I also adore reading, and nothing comforts me more than curling up with a good book for a few hours, sadly the little squeakers keep me away from my bookshelf quite a bit, and Dr. Seuss just isn’t the same.

The rest of my interests I’m sure will come out in my writing, along with all those things I despise to varying degrees.
